Swing dance every Tuesday and Saturday –

“Shippensburg Swing Band” – Attention Ballroom Dancers!  The Cumberland County Historical Society will host “Dancing Under The Stars” at the Two Mile House, 1189 Walnut Bottom Road, Carlisle, PA (across from K-mart) on July 21, August 18 and September 15, 2017 from 7:00pm – 9:00pm (third Friday of each month).  Live music will be provided by the Shippensburg Swing Band which does all ballroom music well, including but not limited to Latin, Swing and Waltz.  Cost of the event is $15.00 per person.  The Historic Two Mile House offers a covered patio for dancing and plenty of room for those who want to sit, listen and watch.  Bring a picnic, lawn chairs or blanket, and a bottle of wine, if desired, and dance the night away or just watch the dancers and listen to the music.  For questions, call Ginny Mowery at (717)776-3814 or (717)609-677.

Celebrating their 15th Anniversary this will be the bands ninth performance on the Olney Theatre’s Historic Stage. Tickets are $25 for adults and $10 for children 12 and under. Activity duty military are FREE with ID. Special discounts available for groups 15 or more. Tickets will go on sale after Labor Day and may be purchased from the Olney Theatre Box Office or on their website. Call 301.924.3400 for information. All seats are reserved and parking is free.
